The Lake Desire Community
The Lake Desire Community is fortunate to live around quiet Lake Desire, just east of the Fairwood Shopping core on the north side of Petrovitsky Road.
This community features a variety of custom-built homes in a peaceful lake setting.
Fairwood, a friendly bedroom community is a short commute to a variety of Puget Sound locations, including a 30-45 minute commute to Downtown Seattle.

Thank You Santa!
- Lake Desire Christmas Party – Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! We had a wonderful turnout at our Lake Desire Christmas Party last Friday night. A big thanks to Santa who visited, and handed out presents. Thanks also to the following ladies who worked very hard to make this party happen: Tammie Cook, Heather Stafford, Heather Smith, and Vi Anderson! Thanks to all the neighbors who came out and made the party a success!
- Cat Found – A neighbor found a soft brown and white colored cat, blue eyes and blue collar. The cat has been hanging around South Lake Drive area for a week now. Please contact - David Strahan, d-s-strahan@q.com.
- Open House Invitation – 1/3/2010 at either 1pm or 6pm - Extend your Christmas this year. Visit the annual Open House of Vi and Darryl Anderson at 17232 174th Ave SE, Renton, WA 98058. - Lake Desire Annual Community Meeting – 1/28/10 – 7:30pm at the Clubhouse – Come help plan events for the year or discuss current community issues. Contact Vi 425-226-7005 or Heather, Heather@smith.net if you would like to add a topic to the agenda. All neighbors are welcome. Officers will be announced from mail-in ballots.
- Nominations – It is time for annual nominations for the Lake Desire President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. We are also looking for a Lake Desire Community Member to volunteer for a two year position on the Board. Anyone who is a Community Member for at least a year, and has attended 2 functions over the year is eligible for these positions. Please send in your nominations by 12/31/09 so we can send out ballots in the mail in January. If you have not attended any functions, but are still interested in volunteering, we can find a place for you! Contact Heather Smith, Heather@smith.net. Thanks!

Lake Desire Clubhouse Rental
Contact Vi Anderson at 425-226-7005 or woods_inn@msn.com for details. Backup is Heather Smith, Heather@smith.net. The clubhouse features a full kitchen, tables and chairs to seat up to 40 people (max 60), and restrooms. Members receive a discount on renting the community clubhouse. The normal rate is $75 to rent the clubhouse for the whole day or ($15 per hour- min. of 3 hours.) Members can rent the clubhouse at a discount for only $60 per day. Membership is $15 for the calendar year for individuals/families or $10 for senior citizens.
